In
1998, Vix was born by introducing a quality and fashion-forward
women's swimwear line into the US market. The Vix goal is to target
both fashion-conscious, athletic women and teenagers excited about
buying top quality swimwear at competitive market prices, Vix is
also known for its excellent fit. The end result is a suit which
lasts much longer, is more resistant to fading and feels more comfortable
on the body. Paula Hermanny, owner and designer of Vix, was born
in Brazil, in a small town called Victoria. Paula's childhood revolved
around beach activities, practically living in a swimsuit. Going
to the beach became a focal point in her life. In 1994 Paula's desire
to see the world, let her to America to study English and her love
of the ocean brought her to San Diego. Shortly after arriving in
San Diego she noticed the lack of quality swimwear available in
the local shops. She had an idea: import swimwear from Brazil. The
importing eventually led to designing. Since most of her inspiration
came from her heritage, she called the newly designed line Vix,
an abbreviated name of her hometown Vitoria. Over the next five
years Vix established its name in the designer swimwear market competing
with contemporary brands worldwide. The Vix Collection year after
year capitalizes on high-quality, novelty fabrics and treatments
such as mother of pearl, bronze, seashells, embroideries, seamless
suits and much much more. Every year Paula travels all over the
world for inspiration and in search of the perfect beach. We hope
